My SO and I thought we could keep her at home without one, since she's potty trained and had a doggy door. Yesterday, when we were helping his grandmother move, we left her home alone (which is normal since she's usually very well behaved). We were gone for about 8 hours, and she has a MULTITUDE of toys and such to play with. However when we came back, we noticed she was acting a bit strange. I turn the lights on and I see all of our card games spread on the floor, boxes chewed up, with some other cards to match. I don't believe in hitting my dog, but stern discipline so I didn't do anything to make sure she understood what she had done. Also lately she has been jumping on our bed to wake us up to feed her. We spend a lot of time playing with her and such since her vet said she's glued to the house because of her anemia and that she might go in heat any day now.
Aside from all of this, I really don't want to put her in a kennel. But my SO says he wants to invest in one because this hasn't been the first instance something like this happened. I don't really know what to do.
