Making rehoming my dog as easy for him as possible

I’m not going to go into the detail of why, but I’m having to rehoming my English Springer Spaniel who is 3 through no fault of his own.

He’s going to live with a lovely couple but I want to know what I can do to make it as easy for him as possible.
