Are all PetSmart's so bird unfriendly?

The closest pet store within shopping distance is a PetSmart. I only ever go there for food because they never have anything else for birds.

I've been going there once a month for two years and it always has a limited bird section.

  1. They have more foods for large birds then small birds, despite the fact they only sell parakeets and parakeets are more popular than macaws.
  2. They just recently got pellets but they only sell Zupreem fruit blend, no natural blends. I've read that fruit pellets are worse than just giving your bird seed mix.
  3. Their bird cage accessories section is basically non-existent. They have some ladders, cuttlebone, baths, and that's it. If you're lucky, you might find a mirror perch. They have pretty much no bird toys.

Are all PetSmart's this bad for bird owners or is mine just special? They have huge storewide dog and cat sections, a fairly big fish section, and a decent rabbit and guinea pig section. I've even seen ferret stuff despite ferrets being banned in my area. It's the pet bird section that's poor.
