Hey Reddit!
This past weekend, my husband and I adopted a cat. We love him. We were not expecting to adopt a cat, but he captured our hearts.
My husband has had a cat before, but it was really more the family cat. I’ve never had a cat before, but I have had a dog since I was 16 and he’s still around.
We are wondering what the best practices are for eliminating cat/litter box odor.
So far, we have purchased an air purifier which helps, but I can still smell a lingering litter box smell. Note: I do have a sensitive nose.
The litter box is in our bathroom in the corner and it seems to be a good spot. We do not want to move the litter box.
We are using a litter box (the Purina Tidy Cats Breeze system), but I’m not sure the pellets are the best option? Any recommendations? We also clean the litter box every day.
Any advice is appreciated. Other than this, the transition has gone very smoothly and our cat seems very happy! Thanks, all!
