I was browsing r/cats and I noticed a lot of complaints about people who buy kittens from breeders instead of adopting from shelters. I know a similar thing exists amongst dog owners but most people think it's okay to buy from reputable breeders and it's fine to want specific breeds.
What's the point of having purebred cats if no one can own one? You're not going to find an Exotic Shorthair or Russian Blue in a shelter.
