Do neutered cats still have the urge to hump things?

Hey guys, my cat is 4 years old, and we adopted him when he was about 2 months old, and he had just been fixed.

He's very playful and skiddish, and in the rare occasion he's cuddly for a few minutes. He's always liked fluffy throw blankets and loves to knead them.

Lately (like within the past few months) it seems like he likes it a little too much lol. Ive caught him twice, once with my blanket and most recently with my fluffy stuffed dog that he dragged around my bed with him, and he looks as if he's mounting them. He usually doesn't carry things around, let alone large or bulky things so it was a bit out of character, and he kinda seemed zoned out on these occasions. After he was done, he quickly jumps off my bed and goes to another room.

I've read up a little bit on this, and Google says it happens a lot in cats that were just recently fixed, or cats fixed when they're older, but he doesn't fall into these categories. Im assuming there's nothing wrong with it, but I was wondering if you guys new anything more on it, or why he's doing it?

Thanks guys!
