My roommates' dog is normally very bite-y and energetic. He's 11 months, mixed of pug/catahoula probably pitbull. He's never calm; he always has to have something to do. Suddenly, last night he was chewing and ran over to window before swinging around to look at the ceiling in the corner of the room and then he ran away to the bathroom. My roommates eventually let him into the bathroom where he could move further away and climbed into the bathtub. They were able to touch him all over, even check his mouth, to make sure he wasn't injured without him biting which is pretty unprecedented. He let them pet him and interact with him and seemed to enjoy the company. He was shaking a little bit. He wasn't barking, also pretty unprecedented. But he kept looking at the spot and refused to get close to it. They were able to get him to bed without trouble (again, not the norm, especially since he didn't claw at the cage or anything and just settled down). Has anyone seen this before? All we can think of is some kind of noise coming from upstairs we can't hear or some spookiness.
