My cats (5yr and 11yr) are healthy, but vet bills super suck, so i decided to get health insurance for them with Healthy Paws. Long story short i had it for 7 or 8 months and then a month ago, apparently got dropped from it because i missed a bill payment because my wallet got stolen.
Healthy Paws was like "that sucks, youll have to reapply."
The thing is, preexisting condition restrictions mean that if they found anything on my last vet visit, none of it will be covered, and my lil dude has a chipped tooth.
Im currently in a worse position than if i had never gotten pet health insurance- like $700 worse off. If i even got approved for insurance, its not going to cover the preexisting condition... so im kinda like...
whats the point? Anyone have any advice or experience here? Is it even worth it? Are all pet insurance places... scummy? I feel swindled and i dont want it to happen again
