Getting disgruntled about my new cat

Hi everyone,

I need some advice! So I recently got a rescue cat who came from a bad situation. She was not even a year old when she got pregnant. Apparently she arrived at the shelter with another cat that wasn't yet a year old, and they were both sharing kittens. So, I'm thinking a hoarding situation. Regardless, I'm not entirely sure about the reasons, but I've had her for two and a half weeks. She has started scratching things in the house (marking them), and she's started spraying, despite the fact that she's fixed. She's been spraying on blankets that I tend to sit on.

I'm not sure what to do. I got feliway yesterday, along with an ammonia free cleaner, and some catnip to try to ease her. I don't want to return her to the shelter, but I'm getting quite frustrated. Is there any other advice any of you would have regarding this situation?
