I have an 11-month-old schnoodle who has been a power chewer from day one. He’s not allowed to have fluffy toys and he shreds every towel and blanket he can find. I have tried every brand of toy and bed out there, but he has them dismembered in minutes. He doesn’t get a soft bed due to this.
But we recently added an 8-month-old min pin who does not chew and loves to curl up in a soft bed to spend his day. Of course, the schnoodle eats everything I leave down for the min pin, so we had to buy one of those cots made of the ballistic material that’s supposed to be nearly indestructible. Well, butt head got through it today, and my BF is saying no more beds of any kind. It crushes me to think of them on the hard floor all day (they are confined to the kitchen while we’re at work). What can I do to prevent them from shredding things and have a comfy place to sleep?
And, no, I’m not great with training my dogs. I’m the kind of person that probably spoils them too much, and they probably see me as a pushover. They listen to my BF but not to anything I say. So, I am a bit lost on what the next steps are. Please help!
