I love my family cat, Morpheus, but I've realized that, being a tall strong-ish man, I'm a danger to him. I'm always worried I might somehow get into a fit of rage or something and kill Morpheus, or, more likely, I might step on him. I don't want to hurt the cat, and I don't want a death on my conscience either (selfish I know).
So I've decided I just want to make the cat scared of me. I don't want to hurt or distress him, but I do want him to never see me as something he could be safe with. I don't want to be like the guy from that Poe story where he cut the cats eye out, but I do want the same effect on the cat, without physically hurting him.
What's the best way to go about getting my cat to never be near me?
