My inside cat ran outside for the first time this morning. Luckily we were able to snag her before she got off our porch, but she is now very interested in the door and lurks waiting for another chance to sprint out.
We rescued her back in 2015, and have had her for 4 years now. She was found running the streets. She is amazingly sweet and has never had any interest in going outside. We got a dog last year, and she got a little more interested in the door after seeing her younger pup brother go in and out of it, but has never made a break for it until this morning. No behavioral changes or anything else like that recently.
I am terrified she is going to get out, what are some ways I can discourage her from the door? Any advice is welcome!
