Ideas for cat safe-room that small dogs can’t get in?

Myself and my 10yr old cat are moving into my girlfriends 2 bedroom apartment Dec1st . My cat is pretty shy and skittish. She’s always been use to my quiet little apartment and her one and only human. My girlfriend has 2 small dogs. A chihuahua pug, and a chihuahua terrier. My cat is not use to other pets. She’s met these pups a few times and was relatively cool with them until they got to close then the claws and hissing comes out. I’ve been doing some research of moving my cat into a new home with dogs and most talk about isolating a the cat to 1 room for several days/weeks before letting the cat out on freerome. I’ve read that she should have a room that’s hers that the dogs can’t get into. Most talk about baby gates to keep the dogs out. Only problem is my cat is getting a little older and though she can still jump, she’s not as limber as she use to be. I’ve tried setting up a baby gate in my bedroom door way and tried to Cox her to jump but she just sits on the other side and cries. Even when I bring out her favourite treats no luck.im worried about her hurting herself attempting to jump as earlier this year she jumped into a box and clipped her hip and walked with a slight limp for several months before it went away. The dogs are the same size as the cat so a cat door probably isn’t going to work. Any ideas what I can do to keep this room hers with out the pups entering? I’ve tried looking for a baby gate that maybe has more of a landing on top that she can jump on to get over. 1 dog is a 8month old and the other is 12 yrs. The young one definitely needs some training and the old one is too far gone. I just want my cat to be happy and have her space in this new alien land with alien creatures
