We bought a bird cage on a whim yesterday (H 120cm x W 86cm x D 55cm*). We weren't planning on getting a pet bird/s until we moved out of our rental in a few years but the price was too good to pass up. We've not had birds before, looking for advice on the best breed option for us (which incl a 5yo). We don't feel we can let it out of its cage in our rental, but would like a bird/birds we can interact and become friendly with. I'd personally love to teach it/them to talk. We plan to keep the cage inside so we can enjoy their company (and them ours hopefully), especially with our stupidly hot Australian summer right around the corner. Any advice appreciated, many thanks!
