Why do my pets love me more?

Out of sheer curiosity, I’ve been wondering why my fiancé and I’s pets seem to love me more. We have a 7 year old pit bull that he has had for 5 years, and 4 cats. We have an adult cat that I’ve had for years, and 3 kittens we got together. Ironically, our oldest cat, a grumpy Gus who has never loved anyone but my dad and I, is now the only animal that will cuddle with my fiancé without him asking. The kittens only ever want to cuddle with me, sometimes in the middle of us. Our dog almost always sleeps on the floor by my side of the bed, and when we call her up on the bed she lays by me unless my fiancé calls for her repeatedly. We share feeding pretty equally. The only real difference is I don’t work, so I’m home with them all the time. However for the past month or so fiancé has been home 3-4 days a week in a row as he started a new job.

Do you think this is just personality preferences on the animals part? I’ve always gotten along with all animals, and have never met one that didn’t like me enough to let me pet them at least, but fiancé has been the same way for the most part.
