Goodbye puppy
You were the light to every day
The light to take away the pain.
Now you are walking into that light
And it’s taking you away.
I know that you are safe now,
Playing with all of the other pets in heaven,
But I know that you are looking down
Wishing that you were with us now.
Dear puppy, be patient.
It will be a while since we see each other again.
Until then, explore the places like you have had explored down here,
And bring someone with you, so that you are not alone.
Walks will be different now,
To not see a white tail spinning in front of you,
Brown eyes looking back
To see if you are safe.
You showed us how to love,
And proved that animals have souls too.
God created guardian angels
And one of them was you.
