I talked my autistic brother into getting this adorable cat a few days ago so our old cat could have a friend. Big mistake. The new cat hates everybody but my brother. I didn't know introductions were a thing, so while he was at work, I put them in the same room. They fought. Fast forward to today, it messed up my hand badly when I grabbed its toy mouse. So I told my brother he has to get rid of it. After a while, my brother said he'd be getting rid of it only because he's told me several times to not give it belly rubs, pets, swaddle it, and so on. He said he won't sleep well knowing I undermine him, and that the cat deserves an environment that he can't provide.
My brother's stressed. He didn't sleep the first couple nights, and now sleeps 10 hours a day and is still tired. His eyes are dark, he's unusually pale, he looks gaunt, and I had to catch him earlier because he got up and was super wobbly. I want to make things right with him, because he said we're never getting another pet, and he's upset right now. Any ideas?
