My wife and I are looking to adopt a cat. We went to a shelter yesterday and they were really trying to push this one cat on us. She's about a year and a half old tortie. She was really cute and very friendly, but when we were interacting with her we noticed she was leaking fluid out of one eye, and she would not stop drooling. It was so pronounced that by the time we finished petting her, there were puddles of drool on the floor. The adoption coordinator said that she does that when she's stressed and she gets stressed meeting new people for the first time, but I was worried that there's a larger medical condition that the shelter is maybe ignoring. This would be our first pet so neither of us know much. Is this drooling issue something to be concerned about?
