Hey all, I'm just curious if anyone's ever gotten dental work on an older cat, or even a younger cat, and what to be prepared for and/or what your experiences were like. I've been on the fence about my Zoey who's 17-18yo and needs teeth pulled, the vet's opinion/judgement has been 50/50, and after thinking about it-and seeing her struggle with her food (likely rather painful) I'm leaning toward going through with it. Her life quality outside this issue seems enough to me that it seems like the better choice to chance the anesthesia.
Also just in case anyone's wondering she has been frequenting the vet and all recommended prep work has been in place. She's had lab draws and an echo to look at her heart, I'm happy to go into more details there if anyone's wondering.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read :)
