I bought a mated pair of diamond doves with the sole purpose of breeding them, and after a month the mated and laid 2 eggs, which where smashed when the female knocked them out of the nest, (she's coordinated, but it was kinda an off day) the pair later had another clutch, i waited 5 days, then candled them (held a light to them) and saw there where babies inside, this was on February 3, 2020 that the second egg was laid, should they have hatched by now? how can i tell if they're still alive, i recently candled them again and i can see the air sac, the liquid, and the shadow of a chick in one, but the other is just an air sac and the rest is dark, no outline of a bird, just flat space between air and liquid, the liquid does not move around at all which is comforting, but i want to know when i should give up, the are diamond doves, and supposed to take twelve days to hatch once both eggs are laid, but its been 16 days as of February 19, 2020, please help
