Hi, so I have a 7 month old Siberian kitten who has been having stomach and poop problems for about 2 months. It first started when I road tripped with her across the country and she had bloody diarrhea (I also changed her food at this time which retrospectively was a dumb choice). A couple days after I arrived she had bloody diarrhea, and of course I panicked and brought her to the vet. The vet said that it was probably stress and the fact that I changed her food, and told me to get her back on her regular food as well as gave me purina’s probiotic to help her digestion
Since this time, she has continuously had poop problems ranging from her stool being very loose to too hard and catching on her fur. She also has had a slight amount of blood in her poop twice in the past 2 months. I called my vet and they recommended that I switch her to purina’s sensitive stomach food brand, and it’s a little soon to tell but she is still having loose stool.
Have any of you had kittens/cats with these types of stomach problems? Should I bring her to my vet again and insist that there’s something wrong? Do any of you have any tips on how to get her more regular?
