I have 3 cats, 1 young cat who is 3 years old and 2 older cats who are both 14. Both of the old cats have breathing problems and they've had it for a while. My aunt and uncle are currently taking care of all 3 cats because we've been out of town. Today they told us that the 2 old cats are completely rid of their breathing problems (likely because they have an outdoor area) and that they think the cats should stay with them.
Another reason for the cats moving is that our young cat does not get along with 1 of the older cats. That old cat hasn't really been happy in a while but we know that her mood is much better now that she is staying at my uncle's.
I am considering saying yes because i want the best for them, but i know how much i'll miss them. Would you give up your cats, or just pets in general, if you knew it could permanently better their health? We'd keep the young cat.
