I'm currently looking for a pet. I have concluded for a Ferret but ferrets cost around 1000 USD, EACH from where I'm at (Philippines). Not really sure where to go next so here are my criterias...
Like a small dog or something smaller that can be potty trained. Something I can carry around with me. More of a best friend than a pet. Sociable with human beings, not shy to touch and cuddle. Does not require exercise 24/7 like a dog. Can be potty trained and waste should be manageable since I live in an apartment of pure concrete.
What I've considered...
Sugar gliders = affordable but cannot be potty trained.
Ferrets = So expensive, but would have been my top 1.
Hamsters = Life so short, even smart rats.
Parrots = potty and noise issue.
Dogs = waste management is bad due to environment.
Cats = The breeds I want cost 4000 USD from the cattery, so NO.
Fish = Have a lot. But I can't 'socialize' with them really. Also can't bring them with me.
