So my idiot neighbor had his dog out without a leash while i was walking my dog. I had my dog restrained with a leash and harness. He didn't attack the dog but defended himself when it charged him. Luckily my dog has no injuries but im not sure if he bit his dog or not. Two questions:

Should I take my dog to the vet? He is up to date on all vaccinations, but should I take him anyway? There are no injuries I can find and he isnt really shaken up.

If my dog did bite his, am I liable for what my dog did to defend himself?
