For the past month I’ve been on the hunt to adopt a dog. I’ve scoured the website of every rescue in my area, seen every page of petfinder, and added email alerts to adoptme. But it seems that I’m having the worst of luck and it’s making my doubt whether I’ll ever mind my forever doggo. I’ve seen other people I know find a dog and then immediately go meet it and adopt it and it’s love at first site. But for me the rescues either aren’t getting back to me, the dog gets adopted before they have availability for me to meet it, or there’s random other requirements for the dog that I can’t do that wasn’t included in the bio.
Am I doing something wrong? Any tips to help make my search easier? I currently have applications out at about 5 different rescues.
