I would like to get a dog but am not in a huge rush. I can be patient for the right opportunity. I have some allergies so I really need a dog that is as close to hypoallergenic as possible. I have been around a couple of labradoodles and other poodle mixes with no allergy issues so I think a similar mix is the right choice for me. I would like to adopt a dog instead of purchase. Helping a dog that needs a home and not perpetuating a puppy mill would be my preference. The question is where do I look for such a specific pet without using a breeder? Any tips?
