Ok so heres my situation. For the past 20 years of my life I've lived around birds. My father being the bird man and has owned a Cockatoo (had to send to a new home when I was born cause it got jealous of my birth :P), Finches (mostly for me when I was younger) and currently has a Cockatiel zoo. Like this may not be a lot to some people but having 6+ of these buggers (I mean that in the nicest way) in one house can be a bit much. Hes bred them, raised them, the works. And while I personally have never really had to take responisibilty of any of these birds since they were not mine, I feel like I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding birds from passivly watching my father (We live in the same household).
Now I have come to a point where I kind want a bird of my own. One that I can sort of emotionally connect with. Now that being said I still would like some freedom to travel here and there without having to worry about my bird. I really want something med-med large. Along the lines of a Eclectus or African grey but no samller than a Sun conure. I also would like it to be able to pick up phrase/have a personality although I undestand that varies from bird to brid. I am in Nursing School so I tend to spend a bit of my time studying and once Im dont with schooling I will be working full time. I understand that what im asking for is probably unrealisitic but I figured I ask anyway.
Thanks!
