In a week I will be going on a road trip for about 3 weeks, and I'll have to leave my cat with my mom for the duration. I am just shattered about leaving her, her and I are really close, and she is super affectionate, and I know it's selfish, but I'm really afraid that when I get back she'll be less attached to me, maybe not forget me completely, but be more distant. Is this a realistic fear? Can any of you offer any reassuring words?
