So I got this apartment that doesn’t allow pets, and I wanted to register my cat as an ESA before I move in. She means the world to me, and cuddles me when I’m having anxiety attacks. I truly cannot live with myself having to abandon her. She is my world. I have been in and out of therapy since I was about 8 with different therapist offices. I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and depression by a psychiatrist when I was about 15. I stopped going to therapy for a few years and went back with my local hospital. I went to that therapist for a few months, and just quit showing up. She had diagnosed me with adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood.
I’m finally going back to therapy and have an appointment in a few days at the same hospital but with a different therapist for an evaluation. I move into this apartment in a few weeks and need the certificate ASAP. Do you think she will give me one during the evaluation, if she has my previous medical records from my old therapist? I was also hospitalized 2 times from bad panic attacks through that same hospital so idk if they’ll have that on record. Basically what are my odds of getting a certificate during an evaluation? Do therapists want to see you a few times before providing you with one? Even if they have your file?
