Extremely anxious dog- need advice!

My partner (24, non binary) and I (24, non-binary) adopted a rescue dog about 3 weeks ago. She was rescued from a breeder in NC where she was tied to a pole on a chain for her entire life & used for breeding. She is very very very sweet (Bulldog mix- we think she’s part pit) very small (40lb) and very quiet. She hasn’t barked yet. The first few days were as expected, nervous but not scared of us. Quiet and very very very sleepy but also. She has given birth 3-4x in her short life so she’s tired. We have been socializing her a bit in the dog park on our property and she’s very happy with other dogs so far. Most she’s okay with, one big dog she’s afraid of but otherwise she’s energetic and happy. Outside of the dog park she’s very nervous and it manifest in her pretty much stopping all movement and laying down low to the ground. We’ve tried a few things, from luring her with her fav foods, to rewarding her when she does get up & go out, we are very patient and never push her to do anything she doesn’t want to. We also live in a building surrounded by people that light off VERY loud fireworks every single night from 8-3am (there’s no changing it, believe me!) the first time they went off while she was outside she was so spooked she slept for the entire next day. We avoided it and she’s fine inside in her crate when they go off. The other day they started at 5pm about 30 feet from us on a walk and it was extremely stressful. Since then she’s been very hesitant to even go out and pee. She’s extremely timid and nervous and wants to lay in her crate all day. We’re nervous we are making it worse and pushing her or making her more anxious. We’re ordering a thunder shirt but otherwise are not sure we’re doing the right things and I’m looking for advice from rescue parents. How long until they felt safe around you? What’d you do? Dog parents that have extremely nervous dogs & dogs that don’t like fireworks- what do you do? Will a trainer help? I’m looking for all advice. Thank you so much!
