Hello, my parents mastiff is elderly and kind of hurt himself earlier tonight. He looked to have a tender spot on his elbow that was Red, I guess he scratched it, seeing how it’s been steadily bleeding for about three hours. Not enough blood that I’m overly concerned. But I have noticed his behaviour change a bit. The sore is on his front right leg on his elbow, he has been licking both front legs and paws continuously for about 45-60 minutes, he’s panting heavily, and isn’t very interested in water. If anyone knows the best way to kind of calm him down a bit I’d be so very much appreciative. I’ve tried petting him, and tried distracting him with treats neither seem to do much of anything.
