So today I was taking my three dogs on a walk. I live in a rural area on private property and they’re pretty obedient for the most part, so I can walk them without a leash. Anyway, once we got closer to the main county road, three strays came up, and the two smaller of the bunch jumped my Shih-Poo. So I ran to help my boy out, and so did my Rott/Shepherd/Lab mix. I love animals, especially dogs, but I’m not gonna lie, I tried to fight those like they were human beings. My Shih-Poo high-tailed it back to the house escorted by my chihuahua. I had to drag my big dog away. Anyway, my Shih-Poo is ok except for a scratch on his eyelid. I cleaned it and put triple antibiotic ointment on it. He’s been really clingy every since. Now I’m mad all over again at those scallywags. I wish I could teach my boy how to fight.
