So I have three dogs in my house atm.Cody (belgian shepherd 4),Coco (Jack russell 10+) and Milo (jack russell 2).Cody and Coco do not get on at all and I’ve always figured it must be because Coco is an older dog who tries to protect herself by growling when they pass each other and not sitting near each other.
Yesterday I was playing with a tennis ball with Coco in my sitting room when out of nowhere Cody grabbed her by the neck and bit into her.Neither me,my mam,or my older sister could pry her teeth off of coco despite all trying really her it was only when my eldest brother came down that he was physically able to.
Coco was bleeding from her mouth and has tons of bite marks across her neck now and it was all just a very scary experience cause i’ve never seen it before.Cody is a big dog however she is a very well behaved dog towards humans and is generally very scared of any noise/large object etc.Cody also gets on v well outside with dogs and our youngest jack russell Milo.
Can someone please help me out with the following?!
•Why are they fighting? •How can I safely break up the fight •What can I change to stop the fighting at all
