I have two cats and a dog, to which I have a bunch of baby names for. I was playing games online with my friends the other day, when my cat came in, his name is champ, but I rarely call him that and instead have baby names for him, the main ones being stinksta and champie. I see him walking over to me and I say “whatcha doin stinksta?” To which one of my friends pointed out that he thinks it’s weird to give baby names to pets. And when I’m cuddling with my cat ‘we’ have conversations about how frigin cute he is, obviously he doesn’t respond, but my friends seem to find it weird that I have baby names for my cat and have conversations with him. Just wondering if it’s a normal thing that other pet owners do, or if I’m just weird.
