He has severe anxiety about being kept outside during the day when I am at work. Several months ago he inexplicably fractured his pelvis which has since healed and only yesterday I took him to the vet (he was clearly in pain) with six broken ribs, a punctured lung and a broken blood vessel in his left eye. I am at a loss to understand how this could be happening. Does anybody know if it is possible for dogs to violently self harm when stressed out or anxious?
