We have a female great dane, she is almost 11 months old and has not yet gone through heat. She is getting spayed on Monday. Is it normal for a huge dog to not have gone through heat yet? I mean im 5'6 and her head is up to my bust and shes about 110lbs. I just want to make sure that this is okay to do before her first heat. The vet was a little suprised as well that she hasnt gone into heat, I mean with her size we would obviously notice if she had!
