My dog has been with me since she was 4 weeks old. She has never ever been abused or hit as punishment or otherwise. But she hates being in my lap or being picked up by me or anyone. She is a small Yorkie mix. However, I do notice that she will follow me to other rooms and sit near my feet or under my leg and she’ll lie down perpendicular to me if I’m on the floor or right next to me. I just wondered, is it normal for her to hate being in my lap? Her sister really loves it and actually hates being on the floor (her sister is not my dog) It’s always bothered me because I’ve never hurt my dog. She’s 9 years old
