My parents got a rescue and he is pretty sweet but still scared at times since he isn't used to being a pet. No previous violent behaviour.
Past few days while I was visiting, I did it slow. Today while I was petting him, my mother was putting a harnas on to go walking. He got startled, probably by a sudden movement and suddenly he lunged for my face. maybe it was just too many people around him.
Jaws were closed so i didn't get bit but I felt his nose and mouth on mine. He then went back to normal but I was shaken. Even if he is a small dog, if he meant it, I probably would have a bleeding lip. I know he is still adjusting and it was just a scared moment but I feel upset. I'm keeping my distance now and don't know what to do. It was just an accident but I am wary now.
