My puppy has a sprained arm, and I don't know what to do.

I don't really know what I'm looking for here. Please be gentle.

My SO took me and my puppy on a hike. I initially agreed to 2 miles, but it ended up being closer to 10. Needless to say, I struggled a lot, as I'm not used to that sort of thing AT ALL, but my puppy was... Okay. She kept going. We carried her for some of it, but for the majority, she kept trucking along.

A few days later, she started limping. I took her to the vet, and after an x-ray, they confirmed that she has inflammation in her elbow, and sent her home with pain meds, and instructions not to let her get too active.

I feel like an ass. I was in so much pain that I was blind to her being hurt. I didn't know. She never whined, or yelped, or showed any signs of upset, until she started limping days later. I was not the one who dragged her SO FAR past her limit, but I am responsible for her.

What the hell do I do? How do I help her feel better? How can I move past this guilt?
