Please help, my roomate got a kitten a few days ago, almost a week now, she has kept her (maz 8wks) in her room, while I have two cats biscuit (2 yrs) and gravy (year and a half) they havent met yet, biscuit and gravy have free roam of the house while the kitten stays in my roomates room, we have kept them separated while letting them play under the door and what not, biscuit doesnt seem too care, while gravy keeps hissing at the door and now at biscuit, I noticed she has gained a few pounds? Since we brought home maz and she seems depressed, gravy does have separation anxiety, I honestly thought gravy would do better than biscuit, but she wont even play with her favorite toy when I try to play with her, while i was in the bath room she layed down on the floor and biscuit walked by her she yawned and hissed at the same time, I've been trying to get her use to the new kittens smell, she doesnt growl, only hisses I'm really worried about her, we live in AZ and it is getting hotter as summer comes along, her fur is very thick so I'm not sure if she is just hot or if it's the kitten, as much as I would like to think it's the heat, we keep the house at about 75-70 F but it didnt start until we brought home Maz, my roomate wants to introduce them but I'm worried about gravy any insight on this would be greatly appreciated biscuit and gravy are my whole life, we are moving back to WA in december so my roomate will have the house to herself and I wouldnt feel right asking her to get rid of Maz please help
