Hi everyone
2 months ago, my partner and I adopted a 1 year old cat. Shes precious and we love her lots. But we tend to go every month to spend a weekend at my parents house for 3 days so we take our cat with us, she is very attached and requires alot of love and pets so we dont want to leave her alone. (Leaving her there isnt an option)
The first time we brought her she did fine on the way there (1 hour drive) but on the way home in the carrier she ripped off the skin of her nose and clawed until her claws bled.
So we looked online and went to petco and got some hemp oil that one of the employees recommended to us. We gave her 2 full drops before heading out today and didn't put her in her carrier only kept her on her leash and my boyfriend held her the whole drive here. She was still panicking and meowing the entire way here. We had tested out those drops before and they seemed to work but only when we were at home.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to keep the cat calm?
