10yo cat with 2 new kittens

My family adopted two 7 week old kittens last week. We currently have a 10 year old female cat. She has arthritis. Since we got them have been slowly introducing them to one another. It’s gone well so far and today we removed the baby gate barrier kept on the bedroom door and they played together for about 5-10 minutes. The older girl quickly lost interest and wandered away - luckily the kittens didn’t harass her.

I believe they will get along, but I’m nervous for when the kittens are no longer confined to their little bedroom. Right now our adult cat has full range of the home and of course due to her age and joint issues she does a lot of sleeping. I’m worried the kittens will drive her nuts! I hope because the kittens have each other that they will have less interest in our older girl and can entertain themselves.

Has anyone had a similar situation? How long did it take for the cats to be comfortable with one another? How are things going now?

We adore our kittens already but we are so bonded with our adult cat, we’re feeling a little guilty for shaking up her routine and home life. We just want her to be happy so I guess I’m looking for some success stories as reassurance! Thanks in advance.
