So I kind of have social anxiety and I didn’t ask questions at the shelter lol. I’m picking my boy up tomorrow and I was wondering if I had to bring something to transport him? Is it ok to just drive in the car with him and carry him inside with my hands? I spent an hour with him yesterday and he was ok with me carrying him and he immediately rested on my lap within the first 20 minutes, but I know he might switch up once he out of his comfort zone.
I’m also open to any tips for how to prepare my home for him. So far I’ve removed any cords, created a safe “hiding” space for him, have an area high up where he can climb, toys, scratching post, liter box with news paper because I know he’ll be fresh out of surgery, and his cat food. I also have treats and a warm blanket for him to snuggle on.
Thank you to anyone that responds and helps me. I’m so excited but also nervous to be responsible for a living being! 🙀
