My cat Merlin has recently had some urinary problems. He had a UTI before and it cleared up, had to take him back because he’s been going outside the litter box again. The vet thinks he has idiopathic cystitis, which can be a reoccurring problem possibly caused by stress. So I have him on urinary so cat food (which is unfortunately expensive) and I’m trying to get to the cause of his stress; he wants to be outside, there’s been other cats around, maybe he needs to play more. I’m trying.
But he peed on the concrete of the basement already in the house I rent. I’ve been desperately trying to clean it. I did vinegar and an enzyme cleaner, left seran wrap overnight and tried going over it with enzyme cleaner again today. But the place just reeks now.
I’m freaking out, I don’t own this house and I don’t know what to do. I’m trying to clean this, I don’t know if this problem is going to persist and I’m very scared. Merlin is the light of my life, I love him so much. Has anyone else struggled with this problem? I don’t know what’s going to happen and I don’t know what else to do. I don’t want to lose my buddy.
