Like the title says, I need ideas. Our cat loves going into our tiny garden. We cat-proofed it so he's safe to be out unsupervised. He comes back in when it's nap time and that's when we close the door. In summer, we left it open all day.
The door is a single door that swings outward. We put a little wedge so the wind doesn't push it closed. It's cold now. When the door is open, our heaters kick on. We want our cat to be fulfilled with outside time, but we also need to keep our electricity bill down.
We cannot put in a cat door because we rent. We have nowhere to store the current door if we bought one for installing a cat door.
I appreciate any ideas that would minimally impact a rented home. Thanks!
