Kitten seriously injured. What's my options

Hi All,

Terrible situation I'm in now. My cat had kittens recently. We were not in a position to keep any as wouldn't be able to afford and no one to really look after them so I have been giving them away to friends families neighbors etc.

Last night as I was rushing out the house closing the door behind me one of the kittens tried bolting out and unfortunately got wedged in the door. I feel absolutely rotten.

It's seriously injured, hind legs went limp and of course I took it straight away to the emergency vet. It's stayed overnight and been given painkillers, but outlook is not good. The vet hasn't given me a full picture yet of what the situation is, but from my research I think it's paralysed the rear half of the body. It's struggling to urinate aswell from what I gather.

I'm just trying to prepare myself for full diagnosis later tonight and do best. what's my options in this scenario.

I'm not in a position to take care of it unfortunately and don't think I could pay for continual treatment if required (pending vets report)

I would love for it to go to a loving family, but suspect not many would be willing or capable to take care of a partially paralysed kitten.

Is there some sort of charity that looks after kittens in this scenario. I'm in London UK.

Worst case do I need to do euthenasia. Im worried he may be living a life a pain if he pulls through due to possible bladder issues.

Thanks all. Really upset by all this don't know what to do.
