Waking up itching all over when waking up in the morning and sometimes with red bumps. Am I having an allergic reaction to my cat? Cat is in my bedroom 70%-80% of the time when I’m home

I had an indoor cat for 10 years. Live in the city. I been waking up itching for over a year now. At first I thought it could be bed bugs and threw my mattress out and bought a new one with a mattress encasement. Never saw a bed bug or any evidence of one.

I also thought it may be my detergent but I bought new bed sheets from Amazon hypoallergenic sheets. I went 3-4 nights without itching on the new sheets. The itching started again along with the red bumps.

When I go to my girlfriend house and stay the night I don’t itch or wake up with red bumps at all. It’s only at my house.

I came to the conclusion that it may be my cat. Just taking a guess but I think it may be causing it. I have allergies and asthma. Take Claritin daily.

Do my symptoms sound like my cat could be causing this? If so how do I deal with this without having to get rid of her? I’m in my 30s male if that’s relevant.
