5 week old kitten - help!

Sorry for the format - I’m on my phone.

Recently I made the decision to foster a kitten with the intent of getting to know whether or not I wanted a cat long term due to still being in college and whatnot. Given that I’m free for the most part this summer, I opted to foster a kitten.

She’s very needy to say the least, which isn’t short of what I expected. I’ve been feeding her wet food and she’s eating super well, my only concern is that she won’t drink water. I rub her tummy after she eats to promote her to go potty, and so far she’s always used her litter box, which I’m happy about because hey - who doesn’t get happy about not having to clean up poop. She also uses it after every meal and the stool looks like right color, the only thing I’m not sure about is the texture as it’s soft, but not watery. I play with her, and everything is fine for the most part.

Here’s where I struggle, though, and I need help as to how I can resolve this. She refuses to sleep anywhere else, but my arms. She will cry about this on and on and on, and it drives me a little bit crazy hearing her meow, but I don’t want to create a dependency on her sleeping on me. She does have a blanket, and this blanket is covering a heating pad, so I know the issue is with me. I’m sure she misses her litter mates, but at this point, I’m unsure of what to do.

I currently have her in the bathroom, isolated from everything else, but made the mistake of letting her roam around the living room, and now she wants to roam the house every time I open the bathroom door.

I will mention: This is only her third day living with me.

So I guess it just brings me to the following questions: Should I let her sleep with me at night? Is it okay if I let her roam the house now? Google is driving me insane at this point, and I just need fresh advice.

I will appreciate any input as I’m freshly new to this and would love to do it again at some point with maybe more kittens, even if I do end up adopting her. Thank you!
