Advice about moving out and bringing my pup

Hi everyone!

I’m moving in to a new place where I go to college and this is the first place that has been pet-friendly. That said, my mom is hoping I can finally take my dog and move him in with me, as she’s been taking care of him for the past few years.

I’m obviously over the moon excited, except, I’m worried that re-homing him is going to make him depressed. He’s never lived without another dog in the house. Am I making an awful mistake by bringing him with me?

I’m going to be spending a ton of time with him and work from home, and campus is close enough to where I can pop in and visit him throughout the day.

I guess I need some advice on this! I want to have him with me more than anything, but also don’t want him to be miserable. Any advice is appreciated.
