We have a stray chihuahua-mix that we took in.
Recently we’ve noticed that he is anxiously afraid of floors that isn’t carpet or the outdoors. He won’t enter the kitchen anymore and we have to carry him whenever we go to the store. He’s afraid to walk on these hard surfaces before he even touches them. And when forced, he shakes and tries to run to safety. He won’t even accept treats.
When we first found him as a stray, he wasn’t like this. He somehow developed this, maybe because he spends all his time in our carpeted bedroom.
What’s wrong with him? What’s the explanation and how do we fix it?
